The National Center for Research and Development (NCRD) and the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening and supporting research and development activities to advance sustainable development and safeguard water resources in the Jordan Valley.
The MoU seeks to preserve, protect, and develop Jordan Valley water resources, optimize their use for irrigation purposes, and enhance their long-term sustainability.
It also encourages directing scientific research and innovation efforts within universities and research institutions toward market-oriented outputs and practical solutions that address challenges facing Jordan’s water sector.
The agreement was signed by NCRD President Dr. Mohammed Ali Wedyan and JVA Secretary General Eng. Hesham AlHesa.
